Hello and Happy Halloween! I wanted to wrap up this month with some October beauty finds that you are going to love! These are all products I’m currently using and discovered this month. As a former makeup artist, I got to work with a ton of brands and it taught me to really do my research. I realized you can find amazing beauty products in various price ranges and can still achieve the look you want without sacrificing quality. I don’t believe in gatekeeping beauty secrets, so here we go!

Can I be transparent with you? My hair is FRIED right now from the bleaching and balayage I did this past Summer. As much as I love changing up my hair, it does not do well with any type of lightening. My hair recently started to break off. I decided I needed to do some intense TLC and initially was shopping for Olaplex but was SOLD on K18 products. The K18 leave-in molecular repair hair mask is a game changer for chemically damaged hair. Don’t shoot the messenger but word on the street, is this stuff is supposed to be better than Olaplex! (This is what I’m hearing from actual hairstylists that are making the switch). On Amazon alone, this mask has over 25,000 + 4.5 star reviews! It’s transforming my hair! Also- I started with the small bottle to try and still got 4 -5 uses out of it!

This month I went to a “Favorite Things” Party. Everyone brings 3 of the same items to share and by the end of the night you get to go home with some new fun stuff to try. My friend Michelle brought this Maybelline Lifter Glaze in Caramel Glow. I’m so obsessed with it and it’s basically an oil balm that will keep your lips hydrated as we enter these colder dryer months. The color in my opinion is also very universal.

I’m late to the game with this invention but WOW this TYMO Automatic Self Rotating Curling Iron gives you fool proof curls. It also beeps when it’s time to release the curl, which I love so you can’t burn your hair and further damage it.

Next up- I know some of you might be surprised I’m sharing this since I was a lash artist for several years. Do I still love professionally installed lash extensions? Yes, but while I was living in Germany I had a hard time finding lash artists in my area and found these DIY Lash Extensions by Lilac Street. I recently came back to using these and they stay on for days! I highly recommend starting out with the Lilac Street Starter Kit. It gives you everything you need including two sets of lashes, the tweezers for application and the glue. The only thing this kit is missing is the clear coat sealant which I will share in the next photo below…

As mentioned above, if you decide to get the starter kit, the Crystal Coat Lash Sealant is a MUST. I promise you for experience- I would not skip this step/product at the end. It will make the lashes last longer and prevent the glue from feeling sticky.

I love a good dupe and this is a good one! The L’Oreal Paris Elvis Total Repair 5 Damage Reversing Shampoo and Conditioner is supposed to be a dupe of a Kérastase shampoo and conditioner, as L’Oreal owns Kérastase, so they gave similar ingredients. Give it a try and tell me what you think.

Last but not least, I wanted to share the ice roller I’ve been using. Celebrities swear by it, and now I do too! I don’t know if it’s part of aging but there are some days where my face feels puffy. This has really calmed the puffiness down and helped with redness and other inflammation. I use it first thing in the morning after I wash my face, before I put my skincare on. Then after ice rolling, I administer my serums and creams and do some gua sha techniques to help contour, de-puff and drain the lymph from my face. This set from Amazon comes with the gua sha tool as an added extra. Also- I recommend keeping your ice roller in the freezer.

I hope you enjoyed these October beauty finds! I will have some good ones to share next month in November, just in time for Black Friday sales. Also be sure to follow me on instagram @unapologetically_glam_podcast
