Hello! Welcome back to another week of Fall 2025 Fashion Trends to dive into. As promised in a previous post I wanted to talk about this, as it is one of my favorites! Fur! Faux fur and real fur (I’m not here to judge) are super hot right now, however whether it’s on trend or not I believe owning a few pieces in your wardrobe will always come in handy at some point in the Fall and Winter. For example, my mom and I bought matching (yes, matching) faux fur jackets and stoles from Macys in 2010! They are still intact and in great condition, and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve pulled it out to wear to formal or even semi casual events, year after year.

Although most of the pieces I own are faux fur, I did purchase a real mink coat at a Paris flea market a year ago (see photo above) while visiting France with my best friend. Again, I understand there is a lot of stigma and controversy surrounding how real fur is curated, however I’m not here to judge and I believe it is your own personal decision. There are pros and cons with faux vs real- faux you can dry clean pretty inexpensively but real fur will keep you very warm. Faux fur is easily accessible (Walmart is currently carrying viral faux fur coats) but if you do decide to purchase real fur, I recommend you get it second hand as it is recycled fashion. But, to each their own as they say. So let’s get into it- these are my top picks for faux fur coats for Fall and Winter.

First up, I love this Women’s Larkin Oversized Faux Fur Coat by Steve Madden found at Macys.com. If you’ve never owned faux fur and wanted to start with one piece, I would start with this one. You can wear it over a dressed up outfit or even wear during a daytime casual look. It can really go either way, especially since it’s black.

Zara hit a home run with this one. The ZW COLLECTION FAUX FUR SHORT COAT is fun warm and fuzzy. I like the white with spotted faux fur because you don’t see a lot of these and truly looks like a unique find. This coat also has pockets and button closure. Perfect for a chic look over dark denim or sleek trousers.

Do you have champagne taste on a Walmart budget? I got you! This is a VIRAL Walmart faux fur coat that is currently selling fast…The Penkiiy Women’s Long Lapel Faux fur Jacket Shaggy Coat in Coffee. The color is universal and from what I’m reading from reviews, looks beautiful in person.

Looking for something fun and bold to wear? This LEOPARD FAUX-FUR-COAT from Mango is calling your name. Not to mention, animal print is also very much on trend as mentioned in a previous post.

This faux fur coat is a GREAT Amazon find with 4+ star reviews. This Flygo Women’s Faux Fur Coat reminds me a lot of a white one I’ve owned since 2010. It’s versatile and can be worn well into Winter.

If you want to try one with a pop of color, this one is one of the chicest one’s I have found so far.

I saw this recently on vicicollection.com and LOVED it and decided to buy it. It’s currently en route to my house as I type this. The Frostline Faux Fur Coat has a zipper closure. I have been wanting a short brown faux fur coat like this since I first spotted all the “IT” girls of Paris strolling around in one just like this.

Ok so this is a repeat from a previous post, but I can’t seem to get enough of this one. The Zeleia Long Faux Fur Coat from VICI Collection is currently on sale with a code, however there is waitlist for this one if you sign up. I think this one resembles real fur the most without the cost and maintenance. In fact if you scroll up to the top, it resembles my real mink coat I purchased at a Paris flea market. Let’s hope they restock this one soon!

Ok THIS ONE from Express.com is a treasure and let me tell you why- with all the research I’ve done for this post, I mainly found fur coats that either are cropped, hit right past the waistline or hit slightly past the knee. This is one of the few I found that is an actual “Maxi” coat. Also this one screams luxury but without the high price. It’s currently on sale for Black Friday.

Ok this last one is a purchase I wish I would have made three years ago when I first landed my eyes on it. It was Fall of 2022 our first year living in Europe. I visited the Zara in Rome (four stories high!) which was so chaotic, but spotted this stunning WOOL COAT WITH FAUX FUR LAPEL AND BELT. I thought about buying it but remembered we were traveling on an airline that charged up the wazoo for extra weight and this coat was heavy. I walked away and still think about it. Maybe this season I’ll ask Santa for it ;).
