Hello and Happy August! I’ve been trying to get this latest post out but was in the middle of a major move! My family and I have relocated to Texas from Virginia, and so far we love it.

Unless you’ve been sleeping the Summer away, by now you know that the hottest print of the Summer (possibly the whole year) are polka dots. Every brand, designer and retailer have declared it a polka dot Summer, and by the likes of it I think are going to see it well into Fall and Winter. The resurgence of polka dots have signaled we are definitely stepping away from the minimalist and “safe”styles of neutrals and blending in. As I mentioned in previous posts, data has shown a complete 180 from minimalist to maximalist styles, including the hair and beauty industries. I personally am very excited about this as we step into bolder prints and silhouettes. Let’s kick this off with a GORGEOUS pick- this dress is from Quince and is a 100% Washable Silk Maxi Slip Dress. This dress comes in various colors, yet I was pleasantly surprised to see it came in the viral polka dot print. Again- the big selling point for me is that it’s washable silk, whereas most silk dresses must be dry cleaned. Worth the investment.

I love having a flowy pant option in the Summer, and this one is a great choice by Altar’d State. The Veda Polka Dot Trouser Pants have an elastic waistband and a wide leg relaxed fit, while still looking like a sophisticated choice.

If big bold dots aren’t your thing, try this adorable dress by A New Day found at Target. This dress features micro polka dots and bow details on the shoulders of this mini shift dress. I love how classic and feminine this dress is and its only $40!

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know by now Capri pants are making a huge comeback. Love them or hate them, you can style them in so many ways. I found these Polka Dot Capri Pants at Zara. Flip flops are the pairing of choice this Summer however, you can add a kitten heel to elevate the look.

This dress I personally own and LOVE. I’m going to be 100% honest, this model doesn’t do it justice. I’ve worn this dress to multiple events and have been paid compliments every time- it is THAT kind of dress. The Open Back Maxi Dress by A New Day has crisscross ties that make it adjustable. I also own this same dress in black and it’s super flattering.

As you know, the 90s are back (which I love) and the 90s scoop neck silhouette has made quite the comeback in fashion as of lately. I found this set by ASOS Design. The polka dot cami is part of a set and is a linen blend, perfect for a breezy Summer outfit. Pair it over some black capris or denim shorts.

My family and I recently moved to Texas from Virginia and it is HOT. I’m from Arizona, so I should be used to this but I’m not! I personally own this adorable Polka Dot 2 Piece Shorts Set Strapless Tube Top from Amazon. It has saved me this Summer in this Texas heat and is super comfortable due to its elastic high waist shorts and the top also has an elastic band.The material is very lightweight too.

Speaking of Texas heat…I’ve been living in the pool! Everyone should own a polka dot bikini and this one does it for me! I purchased this Women’s Polka Dot Ruffle Triangle Bikini Top and Bottoms at Target by Shade & Shore.

I love how chic a maxi skirt looks especially in the Summer. I found this Miska Polka Dot Maxi Skirt from VICI Collection. It has a lightweight crepe chiffon fabric with a semi-sheer overlay. You can easily wear this well into the Fall season.

Last but not least, if polka dot clothing isn’t your thing, try an accessory or a shoe with this Summer’s viral print. Ive seen everything from scarves, to headbands and bangles with polka dots too. Shoes are also a perfect way to add a pop of the print. I found this pair of polka dot heels by Kelly & Katie from DSW *note- the link to these exact shoes no longer exist 😦 So I found these instead 🙂
